Contemporary Bar Stools Style
Contemporary bar stools are an integral part of a bar. They can add functionality and atmosphere to the area and help create the perfect bar atmosphere. But sometimes the perfect bar stool does not exist or is too expensive. Building your own bar stools can solve both of these problems.
Check all wood to ensure it is free of cracks, bends, knots and holes. Put on your goggles and ear protection. Use the saw to cut wood to the seat for a measurement of 11 1/2 inches square. Cut wood for 2 seat aprons for 11 1/2 inches, and 2 extra seat aprons for 13 inches. Use a drill gun to pre-drill all holes. Lay the seat down and stand the 11 1/2 inch aprons on opposite sides of the seat. Drill two holes per side to secure aprons to the seat. Line the seam with wooden strap, insert the screws into the holes and tighten. Place 13-inch aprons on the remaining two opposite ends of the seat and drill holes through the seats in the seat, and also drill holes in 11 1/2 inch aprons at the corners of the seat. Apply the strap, insert the screws and tighten.
Make two legs by cutting and joining two of each of the following pieces 2×2 wood: 10 inches, 30 inches, 15 5/8 inches, and 30 1/8 inches. Put 15 5/8 pieces on the ground, fasten 30 inch bar on the back, 30 1/8 inch piece to the front, and 10 inches top, using wood glue and screws to connect all pieces. Repeat for the second bowel leg.modern brushed nickel counter stools
