Anchor a Large Kitchen Island
Large Kitchen Island makes a good complement to all kitchens, whether you are renovating or building new ones. It does not matter if you make your own Kitchen Island or if you have found one that fits your taste to buy at a cupboard shop or home improvement shop, you will definitely need to find out how to anchor the island to the floor. The task of anchoring your kitchen island in the floor is quite easy and can be filled even by home improvement novels.
Determine the exact location of your kitchen where you will set your island. Determine the exact size of the base of the island that you have chosen. Put your island in the place where it will be permanently placed. Use the pen and mark the outer edge of the base of the island on the floor of the kitchen. Place the island on the side and measure the thickness of the wood used for the base. Measure the thickness on the inner sides of the line you drawn on the floor.
Use the new marks to draw lines that represent the inner boundary of the base of the island. Cut two-for-four to length. Use the drill with a screwdriver attached and the 3-inch led. Place the island under the two to four fuses in the floor. Use 3-inch screws sideways through the base of the island; attach the island to the two-to-four.
