Mirror over a Rustic Console Table
Rustic console table – A broken mirror: seven years of bad luck and a great mess to clean up. Underneath the mirror stay where you hang it instead of down to the floor for the lack of a proper hanger or slip-shoe installation is therefore a very good idea. If you can use hangers, as you can sew directly into ear studs in the wall, go for it. More often, however, the buds are not located conveniently for the place you have chosen for the mirror. Fortunately, there is more than one way to solve this task
Screw the eye bolt into the back of the mirror frame about 1/4 of the way down the two sides. Stand the mirror on the floor and pull the wire cable upwards as if the mirror hung out of the wall. Measure the distance between the top of the frame and the highest point the wire reaches when it is stretched out. Measure and mark the center of the frame on the back with a pencil.
Target to find the middle of the console table. Hang a plumb bob from a string and hold the cord against the wall. When the plumb bob moves to the center of the console table, mark the wall using the string as your guide. Using a plan, draw a short vertical line at the point on the wall. Ask a helper to assess whether you have mirrored high enough on the wall. Choose a triple nail clamp that will hold the weight of your mirror.
